The Best Robot Vacuum That Mops

Noah Pinsonnault is a product review analyst for the Home Care and Cleaning Lab at Good Housekeeping.

He tests and evaluates cleaning appliances. His focus is on mopping and robot vacuum combinations. Multitaskers can be a great option for those looking to eliminate mopping from their list of tasks. Some models have superior mapping and obstacle avoidance. Others even wash and refill mopping pads themselves for a hands-free cleaning.

The Eufy S1 Pro

If you're looking to buy a robot vacuum that also mop, this is the model to look for. It's smaller than the other options on this list making it easier to navigate through tight corners and under furniture. It comes with a 220 degree Lidar that, when combined with the 3D Matrix Camera System, gives it some of the best navigation and object avoidance features I've seen in robot vacuums. It has a 4600mAh battery which can last up to 170 minutes when mopping and sucking is set to standard mode. (It can be more efficient when using turbo). It will even return to its dock to replenish its battery mid-clean.

It's fast and does a fantastic job of cleaning my two bedroom apartment. It vacuums carpeted areas extremely quickly, and the hardwood floors in the kitchen, living room, and hallways in a single sweep. The motor's 8,000pa power allows it to remove dirt, pet hair, and even droppings with ease. Carpet detection boosts power automatically when it encounters rugs and the dual side brushes help pull out debris from corners.

The mopping efficiency is less impressive, though not by a lot. The mop's rotating motor spins at a high rate and it pushes down with 2.2lbs of force, effortlessly cleaning up dirt and stains. I've noticed that the front arm protrudes out a bit more than other robots. This is helpful in difficult corners or on baseboards. The same front arms can also be used to scoop up larger debris like books and broken toys.

The S1 Pro is also one of the quietest robot mops and vacuums I've tested. It is quieter and doesn't create more noise when vacuuming or mopping. The S1 Pro is only limited by the fact that it has to use a mopping solution that is proprietary and is sold separately. It is easy to set up and works well. However should you purchase this robot vacuum solely to mop, you will need to pay attention to this.

The Roborock Q Revo

The Q Revo is different from other robot vacuums in its class. It is a powerful cleaning machine with a variety of features.

The device has an extremely powerful and impressive cleaning system that integrates LiDAR sensors and an RGB camera to map the house and detect furniture and other obstacles. This information can be used to clean efficiently and effectively. This will ensure a thorough and consistent clean, while also being relatively quick.

In terms of mopping, Q Revo's DuoRoller mop pads can be used to reach a wide range of surfaces. They can reach corners, baseboards, and other hard-to-reach spots. The side brush can be stretched to reach the floor near to the walls and other fixtures. In addition the mop pads are able to be washed and dried to prevent the build-up of dust and reduce odors.

Another notable feature is the customization options that are available through apps. The Q Revo lets you alter the suction intensity and choose either a back-and-forth or a random pattern. You can also alter the number of passes it should make, which will determine how quickly the device can move through your home. You can also choose to disable the side brush to prevent damaging rugs and carpets.

This device is expensive but it comes with a lot of smart features. It is important to note, however, that the device will incur recurring expenses in the form mopping supplies and regular maintenance. For instance, the brushroll will need to be replaced after 300 hours or every six to twelve months. The filter is to be cleaned every 150 hours, and mop pads must be changed every three month.

This robotic vacuum cleaner has an excellent Amazon rating and includes many physical automation features. This includes a power button that can also function as a general 'Clean button, as well as a 'Home button that will take it back to its base station once it has completed its cleaning task. It also comes with a multifunctional dock that automatically empty the dustbin, refills its water tank and washes and drys its mop pads.

The Shark Matrix Plus

If you're a professional with a lot of work or someone who just wants an organized home that doesn't require a lot of time on chores The Shark Matrix Plus is a solid option. Its incredibly fast performance, sophisticated navigation, and long battery life make it simple to keep a clean home with minimal effort.

Highly recommended Online site  is a 2-in-1 robot vacuum and mop which means it is able to handle mopping and vacuuming. The robot comes with two modules: a dry bin and water reservoir, and a separate mopping unit with a microfiber pad that snaps into and out of position. Separate modules for mopping and vacuuming may appear a bit dated, but they do mean you don't have to worry about changing disposable bags or refueling the water tank.

Our testers found that the Matrix Plus did a great job of vacuuming and mopping. Its most impressive feature was its accurate map of your floorplan, which it uses to determine a route when cleaning. This made it a breeze for the Matrix Plus to navigate around furniture, rugs, and other obstacles. The app also gives you the option of setting 'No-Go zones' and virtual barriers, which help to protect certain areas of your house from being cleaned with mop.

We also discovered that the Matrix Plus did surprisingly well in picking up pet hair. It was able to collect an enormous amount of hair that shed by our cats and even got into the nooks and crannys of our stairs which other robots struggled. It was quiet and had some pleasant jingles that signalled when it was beginning or finished its work.

The app was too simple and you had to change the modules every time you changed between mops and vacuuming. The app is not able to save multiple maps. This can be an issue if your home has several floors. The Matrix Plus is a good choice for people who want a smart robot that is capable of vacuuming and mopping.

The Yiko X1 Omni

The X1 Omni robot vacuum is the most expensive of our review. However, it does have distinct features that make it worth considering. The X1 Omni is notable for its enormous dock that serves as an charging base for the robot, a cleaning sink and two 4-liter water tanks. It also houses a 2.5-liter dustbin and the 2.5 milliliter dust bin.

The base comes with several control buttons that allow you to manually start cleaning tasks and then recall the robot or run the dock's automatic emptying procedure. Press two of the buttons to toggle a child lock that is a great feature for parents who are worried about children playing with the vacuum.

The X1 Omni, like other robotic vacuums, uses its camera to identify obstacles and furniture that are in its path. It will avoid them. True Mapping 2.0 navigation maps your home up to four times faster than laser detection systems.

Unfortunately this means that the X1 Omni will sometimes get so entangled with obstacles, like the power cord that is draped across a rug that it becomes stuck and stops working until you manually free it. This was a rare occurrence, but frustrating nonetheless, since the X1 does not have an "stuck status" alert in its application.

The X1 Omni cannot automatically switch from mopping to vacuuming mode during the cleaning process. You'll need to manually swap between the two, which isn't a big deal except for the fact that mopping pads haven't been cleaned and dried between use which could lead to mildew or mold.

On the positive side, the X1 Omni is a beautiful-looking robot, thanks to the design team at Jacob Jensen (of Bang & Olufsen fame) who conceptualized its modern, sleek base and mopping pad. It's a significant departure from the utilitarian all-black bases of rivals such as Roborock or iRobot. It's also a welcome sight for an industry dominated by boxes.
